Today I am really thrilled to welcome a new Sponsor into the Plans and Presents fold.

Wilson | McSheffrey Photography is a small independent and creative photographic company based in central Scotland run by professional photographers and good friends, Andrew Wilson and Emmett McSheffrey.

Andrew and Emmett have known each other on the photography scene for almost ten years, having gained their Advanced Diploma in illustrative photography together in 2003.

While covering many areas of photography including events, commercial and music Andrew and Emmett specialise in weddings, portrait and social photography and share a passion for beautiful, relaxed, vintage inspired images with a contemporary feel.

The final element of Wilson McSheffrey Photography is Andrews fiance Kate, also a professional photographer. Kate is an experienced and talented album designer and ensures that each bride and grooms wedding memories are beautifully presented in a stunning hand crafted leather album.

I had a chat with Kate to find out all about the Business.

When, and why did you start your business ?

“After working independantly and mainly shooting weddings for friends and family, Andrew and Emmett decided to join forces and combine talents six years ago to create Wilson | McSheffrey Photography.”

“With the new crop of alternative and creative wedding photographers and the current day wedding client looking for something new and original, they realised that it was possible for them to flex their artistic muscles and produce stunning wedding photography that was unique to them and a world away from the stuffy and often cheesy image of the wedding photographer of the past.”

What inspires you ?

“As well as the many amazing and inspirational wedding photographers pushing the quality of wedding photography to new heights Andrew and Emmett are inspired by the creativity of fashion and editorial photography.”

“They are also inspired by the weddings and the amazing wedding couples themselves and enjoy every minute of sharing in each wedding day, having a blast taking photographs at some of the most stunning locations in Scotland, knowing that these are going to be the memories that the couples will take away and will be able to look back on many years in the future.”

Whats your greatest achievement ?

“Here at Wilson | McSheffrey our greatest achievement is working hard at building a successful business which we can honestly say it the best fun and most enjoyable ever, and just receiving the lovely comments back from each couple when they receive their photographs, you can’t get better work satisfaction than that!”

Whats the future for your Business ?

“The future is to carry on producing wedding photography that is creative and unique and looking forward to photographing more and more amazing weddings at the many beautiful locations and venues Scotland has to offer.”
