Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous 1920’s Gatsby style Bridal Shoot at Eaves Hall with a contemporary twist.
The shoot is an ode to the luxurious channelling beautifully the glamorous Gatsby era with gorgeous burgundy and gold detailing.
Images were captured by Kirsten Platt Photography.
Kirsten says of the shoot…
A styled photo shoot is something I’d been wanting to do quite a while, but to be honest I’d no idea where to start.
The thought of plucking up the courage to do this in the first place was immense.
However it was time to feel the fear and do it any way!
I’d recently met Kimberley who owns a new bridal shop Kimberley Anne Bridal Boutique in Clitheroe.
I asked if she would consider doing a style photoshoot with me and she said yes.
With never doing a styled photoshoot before the idea was to keep things simple.
However by chance I received and email from another creative, Katie from Magpye Creative wanting to work on a styled shoot if I was planning one.
It’s funny how the universe pulls things together. Everything started to take shape.
A meeting was held at the Kimberley Anne Bridal Boutique, and a modern 20’s Gatsby style was developed.
However we decided to keep the styling fresh light and modern, steering away from the traditional black and gold colours.
We booked venue Eaves Hall, a glorious Georgian Mansion building surrounded by 13 acres of gardens & grounds and set amidst the simply stunning countryside of the Ribble Valley, brought together our team and started to plan.
Getting down to details there was beautiful silk ribbon hand dyed by Sophie at Pompom Blossom, tied to the balloons.
Our cake was specially designed and created to match the colour and theme by Maria from Maria Dobson Cakes.
Our stunning model wore delicate vintage hand made wedding veils by Jen at Jennifer Levet Millinery to compliment the exquisite gowns from Kimberley Annes boutique.
A striking floral bouquet that fit the theme perfectly was created by the lovely ladies from Voila.
Jacqui from Print for Love stepped up and created the perfect letterpress save the date and invitations Ito compliment the styling, and Bride and Groom Signs were created by Clare from Bespoke and Oak.
Of course not everything goes smoothly when doing a styled photo shoot and there were a couple of hiccups well learning curves along the way.
At the last hurdle we needed a new model, hairdresser and makeup artist.
Hairdresser Kellie Hughes coiffured Anita’s hair it was perfect.
Last but certainly not least Kaye from Hair & Makeup by Kaye Hirst created her magic with the makeup.
On the day everyone really came together and helped, and it really was an amazing experience.
