A beautiful whimsical winter wedding shoot with woodland elements and festive colours

Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful whimsical winter wedding shoot with woodland elements and festive colours.

Images were captured by Cat Lane Weddings with co-ordination by Ali Kynoch working with a fabulous collaborative team.

Ali tells us all about the shoot..

The inspiration to do the shoot came from working with The Wedding Journey Festival, a festival where an eclectic array of wedding industry suppliers can show their creative wears to  brides to be….

The Wedding Journey Festival launched its first show back in April, and we are now having our second on the back of  the success of the show on April 15th 2018 in the beautiful grounds of Turvey House in Turvey, Bedfordshire.

I wanted to create a whimsical  Woodland styled outdoor wedding with a fun yet relaxed lay backed feel to it, giving it a boho edge.

We shot outside on the grounds of the beautiful Kimbolton Castle in October but wanted to give the look of the shoot a more Winter wedding feel to it with a touch of festive colour.

Gorgeous reds and cream with vibrant green from foliage ran through the styling giving it that special seasonal vibe.

The Photographer was lovely Cat Lane and we also had a videographer who made a short film reel.

Our model was dressed in a gown and fur stole from Nicola at George James Bridal.

The lace top over the gown was a bespoke piece handmade by Becky from Love From Becky.

For the bridal look we wanted a relaxed loose curl for the brides hair with a beautiful hair vine also provided by Love from Becky entwined into the style….

Makeup was natural and timeless with a hint of gold on the eyes….complimenting the winter colours in the flowers, and created by myself,  Ali Kynoch Makeup Artist...

We had the lovely Rosy, our flowergirl with her feather crown and skirt made from Love from Becky running about the woods and being playful as well as being entertained  by Neil the magician which gave the shoot that whimsical feel….

Rosies gorgeous crimped hair was created by Kate Atalay, and I felt it worked rather well with the feather crown…

Gemma from The White Emporium was the venue stylist and I loved her swing with the flowers and foliage climbing up the ropes…

Meringue Kisses were made by Fetti Four which Gemma styled with copper trays with florals provided by Fleurette.

The Magician and Groom were rather dapper wearing the  suits from The Vintage Suit Hire Company.

Thank you so much to the team for sharing their gorgeous winter wedding shoot and their fabulous creativity.
