A breathtaking Nightmare Before Christmas inspired wedding shoot at The Asylum Chapel

Today I am excited to share this breathtaking Nightmare Before Christmas inspired wedding shoot at The Asylum Chapel.

Images were captured by Chloe Lee Photography with concept and styling by Kayleigh K MUA and The Stars Inside.

Chloe says of the shoot…

Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my ALL TIME favourite films, a tale of love and soulmates in life and death!!

It’s just so amazing from the outstanding soundtrack, to the animation, and storyline so when I was asked if I wanted to get involved with a styled shoot based around it I jumped straight in!

Our venue was very suitably fitting, super cool and quirky Asylum Chapel, in Peckham, London.

The Chapel is a Grade II listed building, built in 1826 by the Licensed Victualers Benevolent Institution, and with its beautiful exposed crumbling walls and spooky altar it was just perfect for what we planned to do.

The colour palette for the shoot was built upon the black and white colour scheme of Jacks outfit from the story, but had subtle pops of autumnal tones.

Our Bride wore a breathtaking black gown from Audrey Ashley Couture, accessorised with an incredible regal hairpiece by Hermione Harbutt, shoes from ASOS, hand painted leather jacket from Sammy Lea’s Retro Emporium, and jewellery from Kasun London.

To compliment our Groom wore a fabulous burgundy suit from ASOS in a change from Jacks usual monochrome attire.

Striking makeup was applied by Kayleigh K MUA with beautiful hairstyling by Love Your Hair Cassandra.

There was a ceremonial altar fit for the Pumpkin King and Queen dressed with the spooky backdrop of a moon and hilltop from Vowed and Amazed with light up letters by Locke and Busby.

The tablescape was incredible with sultry red runner from Pom Pom Blossom, beautiful crockery from Bombay Duck London and stunning stationery and paper goods created by Betty Lou Design.

Additionally there were gorgeous florals in autumnal tones by Lily Lupin Floral Design, mismatched chairs by Purple Door Props, and a magical suspended  cake installation in jet black from Malarkey Cakes that was so on theme.

Far from being tacky or cliche this whole spooky Nightmare Before Christmas inspired wedding stayed super cool and elegant.

A behind the scenes film of the shot was captured by Wild Heart Films
