A captivating tropical wedding theme styled shoot at Malmaison Oxford

Today I am thrilled to share this captivating tropical wedding theme styled shoot at former prison, now boutique hotel, the Malmaison Oxford.

Images were captured by Ozzy James Photography with the collaboration of a fabulous creative team…

The shoot location was the Malmaison Hotel in Oxford which has an interesting and chequered past as a former prison set within a medieval castle.

Just like a prisoner it was reformed and lovingly converted into an exceptional 95-room boutique hotel with adaptable events spaces.

It would be a crime not to check out  this sophisticated space featuring chic rooms (more spacious than your average prison cell) including original features such as prison doors, exposed brickwork and steel beams.

The concept of the shoot was strikingly different to the industrial background in which it was set with a tropical wedding theme, using fresh colours and sharp sculptural tropical leaves to contrast against the unusual venue.

Varying shades of green were the main colours used complimented by crisp white and lots of greenery.

These fresh botanical tones softened the whole edgy look so that you can still get the romantic feel without losing the urban rebelliousness of the background.

You can go big or go home with this tropical wedding theme, or you can be minimalist with clean lines in your styling and just a hint of botanical pizzazz.

You can take whichever road feels right all the way through your wedding details achieving the same vibe but as crazy or as sophisticated is your taste.

You as a couple make the trends you want for your big day.
