Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous styled bridal shoot that is a celebration of love, light and dark at Hampden House in Buckinghamshire.
Images were captured by Marcus Charter Wedding Photography with the collaboration of a fabulous creative team.
He says of the shoot…
I have worked on hundreds of weddings, and in that time have met a good selection of wedding professionals.
Earlier this year I was invited to join the Bucks Wedding Team as their wedding photographer and so I looked into what they did more closely.
It became clear they were a solid team of well known wedding professionals who shared my values – providing a quality service for the couples they work with to ensure their day is special.
The first thing we wanted to do as a team was to organise a bridal shoot at the teams base, Hampden House Wedding Venue, in order to showcase the quality of the wedding services the team offer.
The general discussion was to really highlight the stunning features of this exceptional venue by staging two distinct themes.
The Great Hall with its dark wooden panelling, rich oil paintings and huge fireplace leant itself to a dark and moody look while in contrast the Dining room with its chandeliers, high ceilings and marble fireplaces suited a much lighter feel.
The discussions moved to the creation of online mood boards and everyone worked hard to ensure that the details of each ‘piece’ created would fit into the overall look we had in mind.
We were also introduced to our model, the stunning Rachel who after trying on two dresses at The Bridal House created a stir around the team, as there was something special about her!
Everything the team produces is bespoke and designed in consultation with the bride and groom, so having these unified themes along with a bit of creative freedom meant that we could create and capture a range of images that truly showcase every part of the team, and of course Hampden House itself.
On the shoot day, we worked through the early part of the morning dressing the rooms and transforming Rachel into our bride for the day.
When I started to take and review the initial pictures I knew that this team had something special about them.
The look that had been created here was unbelievable, I’m proud to say that this is some of the finest work I’ve produced, all thanks to the high individual quality of everyone in the team combined with the awesome team effort.
The best part of all is that it was also a fun day with lots of banter that made everyone enjoy the experience, and this portfolio of images showcases what each of us can offer
Isn’t it beautiful!
Thank you so much to Marcus and all those in the Bucks Wedding Team for their work on this stylish shoot that showcases beautifully the versatility of look in the venue and the incredible creativity of the team.
