A gorgeous Tiki inspired sustainable wedding inspiration shoot with pretty coral, orange and vibrant aqua details

Today I am thrilled to share a gorgeous Tiki inspired sustainable wedding inspiration shoot with pretty coral, orange and vibrant aqua details.

Images were captured by ECM Photo with the collaboration of a fabulous creative team.

At Amethyst Event Productions we love couples that live intentional and vibrant lives so with this in mind we wanted to create a design the reflected a couple that met at a Tiki Bar and has a deep love for Los Angeles history.

We landed on a modern tiki design that is stylish, fun, and ethically responsible.

With a fun spring palette in mind, we wanted beautiful corals, mixed with muted oranges and vibrant aqua, and the culmination of all our creative partners was magic.

The location of the shoot took place at the historic Kim Sing Theatre, which originally opened in 1926. In the early 2000’s it was renovated to incorporate a more contemporary design making it the perfect mix of contemporary and historic.

Tiki bars have been a part of Los Angeles history since the 1930’s, when the first ever tiki bar opened in Hollywood. We wanted to be sure to incorporate that classic vintage touch for a modern-day couple.

This design concept is intimate and romantic, while still being fun and non-traditional.

The average wedding in Los Angeles produces 500 pounds of waste. This waste ends up in landfills and in our oceans and greatly impacts our environment and marine life.

We specialize in incorporating sustainability into our events without needing to sacrifice on design or experience with our partners on this shoot share these same values.

To give an insight into the day invitation designer, Inktopiary, provided the invitation suite for the shoot, while alongside this there were printed menus featuring vegan cuisine provided by Minted.

Panache Bridals Pasadena, and Christopher Shafer Clothier provided  the couples attire for the shoot, with Bride Amber in a beautiful gown by Inbal Dror,  and Groom Alessandro in the sharp and unique green suit and coral tie..

Ceiba Beauty was responsible for the hair and makeup for the shoot in which they used clean, vegan, and cruelty-free beauty products to give Amber a flawless look.

In the interest of sustainability, we wanted to create elevated tiki chic designs that used no single use plastics.

Fresh By Brandon used local flowers from farmers in Southern California including poppies, alstroemerias, ranunculus, acacia, and green house grown tropicals.

By committing to include as much local product as possible to each event we can support our local growers and sellers, enjoy product that is super fresh, and minimize the carbon footprint of the event.

Unfortunately, floral foam is a petroleum product that doesn’t completely breakdown, which leads to water contamination.

Committing to foam free designs and educating our clients on ways to create stunning florals that are friendly for our environment is one way we help our clients make big memories on their day that they can feel good about.

Collective Rentals provided all the specialty rentals with their unique furniture inventory incorporating vintage pieces, which was the perfect fit for the modern tiki design we went with being a mixture of tropical and contemporary chic.

The tablescape and basic rentals were provided by La Pinata Party whilst vibrant linen was provided by La Tavola in the perfect color and style to tie together the tiki flare.

We decided to incorporate young coconuts as escort cards for guests because they’re sustainable and a functional option for guests to drink.

The reusable bamboo straws from The Other Straw were inside of the coconuts and were meant to be served as a sustainable wedding favor for guests.

The calligraphy for the coconut tags was done by Look Good on Paper Co.

The cuisine featured was from Pink Salt Cuisine, Paleta Please, and Top Tier Treats and was all vegan.

Pink Salt Cuisine not only creates beautiful plant-based food, but they take it a step further by composting, recycling waste, and donating unserved food, in order to decrease the environmental impact.

Paleta Please features a fun dessert option of an ice cream cart and has the ability to offer fully vegan ice creams and sorbets and t this brings a playful aspect to the shoot.

To bring the styling of this sustainable wedding inspiration shoot to a spectacular close Top Tier Treats created beautiful and incredibly delicious vegan wedding cakes.
