Today I am thrilled to share this incredible modern rustic Barn Wedding styled shoot with beautiful blue and yellow elements.
Images were captured by Berni Palumbo Photography.
Sarah from Tiny Sarah’s Cakes says of the shoot….
The very original inspiration for this editorial was Louise Rose Couture’s stunning gown and the model Carissa’s stunning natural beauty.
To achieve an authentic look I wanted to work with a real couple, and in particular a bride of colour as they are so under represented in the wedding media.
Carina and Chris have been together for nearly a decade and how comfortable they are with each other really shines through in the images,
Their love for each other transpires in every photo, and they were both very relaxed and natural on the day.
The location for this shoot was the beautiful Herons Farm, a hidden barn in the gorgeous Berkshire countryside.
The shoot features a floral embroidered dress, a bride with curves and magnificent curly hair, beautiful crisp and relaxed photography, blues and yellows sprinkled throughout with boho accents, a vegan cake that replicated the embroidery of the dress and so much more.
The colour palette was a mix of bold yellows and blues, to break with the usual and conventional ivory and pastel wedding colours.
The styling of the shoot was modern yet relaxed, so it is something that can actually be used as inspiration for couples and achievable as a wedding look.
The jewellery was provided by Vaessen Walker, it was minimalist and contemporary, and complimented the bride’s dress perfectly.
Styling and flowers were orchestrated by With these hands Weddings, who designed an original floral chandelier with hanging ribbons, the centerpiece they made was elevated on a three-legged wood installation and the table was dotted with mini logs and mini bottles, that was a perfect combination of modern and rustic in this barn wedding.
They even made the floral frame as a beautiful photo or photobooth prop. The floral hoops that they supplied created a perfect backdrop for the cake, that was standing on an old wooden barrel.
Joyce Connor, our incredibly talented make up and hair artist, created a sublime beauty look perfect for Carissa’s skin tone and hair.
The cake was handpainted to echo the embroidery of the dress by vegan cake maker Tiny Sarah’s Cakes.
