A Stunning Autumnal Wedding Styled Shoot with a berry, burnt orange and gold palette

Today I am thrilled to share this stunning Autumnal Wedding Styled Shoot with a berry, burnt orange and gold palette.

Images were captured by Fitzgerald Photographic with the collaboration of a fabulous creative team.

Claire of Fitzgerald Photographic says…

Helen from Betty Loves Vintage had the inspiration for this gorgeous shoot.

In Helen’s words, “Autumn is my all time favorite season!

“I get filled with a huge sense of excitement as summer draws to a close. I adore those crisp days where the sun is lower in the sky casting that magical Autumnal glow”.

Helen’s vision for the shoot was to create a relaxed laid back feel by embracing natural light and the use of a natural backdrop but to retain hints of elegance and luxury.

Drawing inspiration for the colour palette from nature.

Looking to the sumptuous rich tones of seasonal fruits, plums, apples, pears and berries adding in golden accents such as brass candlesticks on the table and by using gold leaf on the some of the fruit within the centerpieces.

Going through her vast vintage hire collection, Helen selected pieces to fit the Autumnal feel she wanted to create.

Vintage crockery with natural botanical designs, vintage cut glassware to reflect the light, leather suitcases in earth tones, and vintage floral fabric chair covers that reflected the colours of the season.

Danielle of Makeover Box, our talented hair and Makeup Artist was on hand all day to style our model Bride…

”Being a massive Autumn fan I was excited to collaborate on this autumnal styled shoot.”

“Rich autumn colours where the main focus of our mood board, including berry, burnt orange and golds. Which I incorporated this theme into the makeup using a rich berry lipstick and gold toned eyeshadows, airbrushing our model for a flawless natural look”.

The model had beautiful copper coloured hair which Danni curled for a loose natural look paired with the elegant off the shoulder bohemian dress “Dove” supplied by Bustle and Bows Bridal by Pure Bridal.

Our model Bride’s long sleeved lace dress is style number 2910 by Allure Bridal and again was supplied by Bustle and Bows Bridal.

Danni again styled her hair up doing chunky fishtail plaits for an on trend rustic bridal hairstyle.

Gorgeous floristry arrangement was done by Jo from Jo Frost Flowers.

She specializes in flower design for weddings and likes to immerse herself in your special day.

By taking inspiration from the floral seasons and adopting a more naturalistic approach, Jo creates arrangements that reflect the true beauty of flowers and foliage with great attention to detail.

Meadow flowers and ‘The English Garden’ are key to her aesthetic.

By utilizing her design background in both colour and shape, Jo constructs each arrangement carefully with both thought and passion, allowing designs to evolve from her hands.

The stunning cake was designed and created by Emily from Emily’s Mixing Bowl; a bespoke Wedding Cake designer based in East Sussex who was really excited to be working on an Autumnal themed wedding shoot and immediately brought in rich, jewel colours and natural elements.

“Using a damask pattern on the bottom tier painted gold to give that opulent feel which went well with the venue being the “folly” at Herstmonceux Castle.”

“The middle two tiers were kept neutral to show off the sugar flower arrangement and used the same rich claret red on the top tier.”

“This was then hand-piped with trellis leaves and painted gold. I created a beautiful sugar cafe-au-lait dahlia and a fluffy claret coloured peony which perfectly matched the flowers used in the bridal bouquet and the surrounded them with green sugar leaves, blackberries and sugar pink peppercorns and incorporated the pheasant feathers as a nod to the countryside woodland setting”.

With Autumn being Lynda of Lynda Loves favourite season. “The watercolor stationery was designed to reflect the autumnal colours of berry shades in plum, purple and mauve with hints of gold leaf, gold thread and botanical wax seals.”

“A combination of calligraphy and contemporary type tied the suite together.”

“The agate slices were used as place settings against decorative fruit which complemented the colours beautifully with gold ink calligraphy. The overall contribution looked stunning”.

Finally, all this was captured by Clare from FitzGerald Photographic, Sussex based Wedding Photographer with a Fine Art background. Emily approached Clare to be on board with this shoot.

“Hearing the ideas from the fabulous suppliers involved and of course Autumn being such a beautiful time of year with a gorgeous array of colours and textures and I instantly knew we would be capturing a sumptuous medley of products, flowers, decor, cake and dresses etc that would beautifully describe an Autumn // Winter wedding.”

“We were incredibly fortunate on the day to have some lovely warming gold light through the trees and the soft dusk winter light falling through the window of the Folley…highlighting all the hard work and labour of love these fabulous suppliers put into their gorgeous floral arrangements, decor, cake design, stationary, hair and make up and bridal wear.”
