Today I am thrilled to share this stunning nature inspired wedding shoot that brings the outdoors in, perfectly contrasting the wild with luxe.
Images were captured by Tell Your Story Photography + Film with styling by Kimberley Rose Designs and a fabulous collaborative creative team.
Cynthia of Kimberley Rose says of the shoot…
This nature inspired wedding shoot is centred around the classic wedding theme for the modern bride.
It works for the elegant bride who wants her wedding in a modern contemporary setting but still pay homage to her love of nature.
As wedding days can be such long days, we showcased two looks – daytime and evening – to give you ideas of how you can transition from day to evening in this nature inspired wedding shoot and still look glam doing it.
The shoot is a perfect blend of elegant sophistication mixed with gorgeous details that bring it all to life.
I took inspiration from various places when designing this shoot….
The Venue
With its modern clean design, high ceilings and slightly dark interior required alternating statement pieces of both tall and low centrepieces to lift the room which the florist Johanna Pedrick Flowers created.
Johanna really went to town with the flowers and foliage for this shoot, she clearly caught the vision for the nature inspired concept and infused our venue with an abundance of greenery that really lifted our look and gave it that feeling of bringing nature indoors.
The greenery was made up of parvi eucalyptus, trailing asparagus fern, Ming fern, trailing green amaranthus, tree ivy and other sumptuous varieties of ferns, with ivory and spray roses, cream lisianthus, hanging yellow orchids and soft blue delphiniums amongst others to balance it out.
The Colours
Leona Lewis Tony Ward’s couture gown to the Oscars Vanity Fair party in 2017 provided the inspiration for the main colours we featured in this shoot.
The gown was made up of taupe / stone colour with infections of teal blues hues and flecks of light 9 carat gold colours.
We incorporated these into our overall designs with the taupe / stone custom made table linen, blue dinner plates, silver rimmed chargers and floating teal blue and ivory candles to balance our overall tablescape design.
Tee of Tees Bakery also went to town with the cake design and attempted to recreate the dress design on her show stopping 5 tier cake.
Pri of London Wedding Stationery provided the nature inspired invitation suite that complimented our overall design with
calligraphy on agate slices as name settings by Scritto Calligraphy giving our table a modern edge.
Audrey Ashley Couture designed the two gorgeous dresses for this shoot.
The first, an off the shoulder, full skirt dress with sweetheart neckline and exquisite beading for the daytime look and a strapless light grey tulle gown for the evening look, with hand encrusted diamond accessories from Krausz Bespoke Jewellers to compliment the two dresses.
Hair and makeup artist, Joyce of Joyce Connor Makeup, created a fresh dewy look for our bride with loose curls that framed her face for the morning look and a more sophisticated up do for the evening look.
We tastefully incorporated the unusual colours into the design with a tone of elegant sophistication running through it to showcase the individuality and personal style of real life couples as each wedding is always unique.
Styling /Ambience
I wanted to convey a feeling of fresh, modern and yet classic luxe ambience with this nature inspired wedding shoot.
Where if it was at a wedding, your guests will get that sense of formality of the occasion that comes with a classic wedding but with your personality thrown in (with the overall design and details).
Be inspired!
