Today I am thrilled to share this elegant and romantic country manor styled shoot at Woodhill Hall.
The shoot had both focus on night and day looks with one flowing to the other, but also showcasing the versatility of the stunning venue and the collaborative talents of those involved.
Images were captured by Gavin Forster Photography.
Gavin says of the day…
“Back in March, I had the pleasure of being given the opportunity to collaborate with a number of other North East wedding suppliers in producing an incredible styled shoot that showcased all of our skills.”
“The shoot took place at Woodhill Hall in the heart of Northumberland – a 300 year-old elegant Georgian country manor, and one of the North East’s top award-winning wedding venues.”
“It is set on a private estate of 100 acres of woodland, meadow and river and situated near the village of Otterburn in the heart of Northumberland.”
“Guests can unwind in our elegant and unobtrusive surroundings with family and friends, free from distractions of other parties and modern day life.”
“Upon entering Woodhill Hall, most guests are drawn through the hallway into the imposing Orangery with views extending beyond the village of Otterburn and the compelling panorama of the Northumberland countryside.”
“With a large entrance hallway, dining room, Orangery, tepee, BBQ hut and bar, our guests have room to meander during their two day stay and enjoy the feeling of being home from home.”
“I fell in love with this unbelievably stunning venue at first sight. With its beautiful views of the Northumberland countryside, it’s a perfect backdrop for a wedding shoot.”
“All the different elements that Woodhill Hall had to offer came together to create the atmosphere of each of the images.”
“The best part of this styled shoot was actively collaborating with these amazing wedding suppliers.”
“Thoughts of You Flowers, based in North Shields, provided the beautiful floristry.”
“Amy did an incredible job of designing the perfect bouquets styled specifically for each theme in the shoot.”
“In the evening shoot, we used spikier bouquets of a darker colour with a more ‘edgy’ look to create something a little less traditional and more fun and fantasy.”
“Once Upon a Time Bridal Wear, based in Newcastle, provided the beautiful bridal gowns.”
“Timeless Mobile Hairdressing were fantastic at styling the perfect bridal hair; buns, curls, you name it! ”
“For the morning shoot, they gave the models perfect elegant up-do’s complete with some braiding, curls and a hairpiece. It was the perfect look for the traditionally romantic vibe we were trying to execute.”
“For the evening shoot, the hairstyles were even more complex with a cool, edgy vibe to compliment the fantasy theme!”
“Megan Green of Makeup By Megan demonstrated her incredible skills very well, as you can see from the images. I made sure to capture a lot of close-ups of the models’ faces to show off Megan’s amazing handiwork!”
“Dytham Jewellery Designers added the finishing touches to the look with some beautiful earrings, necklaces and rings. This really helped to add to the whole style and create the elegance we were looking for.”
“And lastly, of course we couldn’t have done it without the two beautiful models, Demmi and Antonia!”
“I must give a huge thanks to all these amazing suppliers for making this shoot possible. It’s amazing how much each of us benefited from working together!”
Thank you so much to Gavin and the team for sharing this amazing country manor styled shoot.
The outstanding team have fully embraced the night and day theme and beautiful light enhances the look throughout the day.
The styling is fresh with plenty of beautiful greenery embracing the pantone theme of the year too.
Love too the versatility of the venue with some many different wedding looks to create from traditional to boho to festival to romantic to fantasy and alternative
