An elegant minimalistic bohemian inspired bridal shoot at Harmony House & Garden

Today I am delighted to share this elegant minimalistic bohemian inspired bridal shoot at Harmony House & Garden highlighting the stunning features of this exceptional venue.

Images were captured by Alex Martin Photography with the creativity of a fabulous collaborative team.

Ali of Whimsical Bride says of the shoot…

Harmony House & Garden, in the historic Scottish Borders town of Melrose, offers elegance and tranquillity amid a rich and colourful walled garden, and is an idyllic setting for weddings, family gatherings, private parties and corporate events.

The venue is a beautifully restored Georgian manor house, offering luxury accommodation for up to 12 guests, and when hired for exclusive use, Harmony House & Garden can also be used for religious and humanist wedding ceremonies, champagne receptions and garden parties.

It is home to the Borders Book Festival and its setting comes with magnificent views across to Melrose Abbey and the Eildon Hills.

We went along to this shoot knowing it was going to be terribly wet and dull outside, but the beautiful light in the house outshone any bad weather.

We wanted the overall look to be relaxed and cool showcasing the beauty of the house and the work of our fabulous creative team.

Katie from Get Knotted said she’d love to provide a floral crown and this was music to my ears.

I instantly thought of Savannah Miller’s Lisa Cape to complement a floral crown and secretly thinking it would also provide a bit of warmth for our model Robyne as a storm was brewing.

Both gowns were Savannah Miller, with dress with pearls being called Lucinda, and the beaded dress with frill at neckline is called Sadie

The buttonhole was gorgeous against the Walker Slater suits and the arrangements for the urns were elegant and understated and very much in-keeping with the venue.

Our gorgeous models make up look was created by Bex Leigh Beauty.

Our photographer, Alex Martin is very laid back and she brought along Duncan Ireland and the two of them bounced ideas of one another and we had such a laugh with Duncan directing the models with entertaining chat.

The models are an actual couple very much in love and the chemistry flowed effortlessly throughout the shoot.

The banter and the dedication was evident as we all ventured out into the rain for the final photographs.
