Today I am thrilled to share this enchanting and ethereal woodland inspired elopement styled shoot.
Images were captured by Angie Candell Photography with the creativity of an incredible collaborative team.
Angie says of this gorgeous woodland inspired elopement shoot…
It’s so refreshing to get to do a photo shoot like this with a real couple – and one that’s adventurous as Abbey & Tyler.
We started the day getting the “sets” designed, kind of winging it as to the exact location.
We knew that we were going to be around the Natural Waterslides at Ohiopyle State Park, but we didn’t have any concrete plans other than that.
We ended up with three main locations for the photoshoot – the elopement picnic location right next to the waterslides, an organic, make-shift wedding arch that we designed directly into the nature path, and a spot for the cake next to the Youghiogheny River.
We had two main “looks” – the wedding/elopement outfits, which were a little bit more “formal” (but also, so not formal at all….and had a very Mark Twain meets bohemian-esque feel to it.)
And the second look was a cute post-elopement picnic outfit….after which, the couple jumped into the Youghiogheny river for some photos as well!
Thanks to Angie and the team for sharing this stunning ethereal woodland inspired elopement.
It brings focus back to the fundamentals of a wedding, the intimacy, love and intense emotion between a couple.
The team have collectively created some magic using the raw elements of the forest backdrop,a and merging them seamlessly with beautiful decorative elements.
