Today I am thrilled to share this enchanting Halloween Wedding shoot with striking dark gothic influences and seasonal tones.
Kayleigh says of the shoot…
With Halloween right around the corner, our model Kamie was eager to create a photoshoot inspired by the annual holiday.
This was a great opportunity to make use of the beautiful Autumn colours and show people how wonderful a themed wedding can be.
Taking these initial thoughts I helped bring her idea to life.
A Halloween Wedding needn’t be ugly. I wanted to produce something striking, dark and autumnal yet pretty and romantic so I went for a more modern gothic in the forest look.
The aisle space was simple and rustic, benches for seating and the aisle entrance marked with oversize gothic style candelabras and lined with candles.
All this was positioned with the beautiful forest in the background… a hexagon backdrop adorned with autumnal flowers, colours fitting of the theme and scattered pumpkins.
I also created a relaxed space symbolic of the holiday using vintage sofas and chairs, seasonal floristry, oversized gothic candelabras and the area backlit using a neon backdrop which aptly said Til Death Do Us Party
For the tablescape I wanted to create a banquet style dining set up like those from medieval times with a gothic feel.
The setup at the time was designed for 30 guests to show how even with a reduced number of guests it’s possible to create something themed, stunning and dramatic, and this number can be lowered dependant on restrictions
Rustic tables complimenting the forest background were dressed with a deep purple velvet runner, candelabras, an eclectic mix of candlesticks and of course a variety of squash to add the the seasonal theme and add a variety of autumnal colour to the set up.
Skulls, Gothic plates, black napkins and stunning skull decorated biscuits as favours were added as finishing touches.
At the end of the banquet table was another Til Death Do Us Party neon continuing the theme and situated to the side of the dining set up was a rustic swing which held the gorgeous gothic cake in complimentary colours.
