An Ethereal Organic, American Prairie-Inspired Elopement in an English Manor

Today I am thrilled to share this ethereal organic, American Prairie-Inspired Elopement at the beautiful English Manor House at Penton Park.

Images were captured by John at Holes in The World Photography with event planning by The Stars Inside and the collaboration of an incredible creative team.

Valentina of The Stars inside says of this gorgeous American Prairie-Inspired Elopement…

The concept of this editorial was to explore an “American Prairie” inspired wedding elopement – with an understated, soft, and natural look.

We wanted to create visuals centred on the couple, with a strong focus on the intimacy of a small celebration, as contrasted to the expanse of the landscape.

Our intention was to modernise that vintage “prairie” look, with high collars, embellished gowns, and floral prints – and add a touch of wildness – in a very authentic way.

The colours are organic, muted, and down-to-earth, and we wanted that same ethos to reflect in the eco-friendly, sustainable work of the suppliers on the team.

We want to inspire couples to pare things back to what really matters to them, and to style their spaces with intentional and meaningful details.

For us, this photoshoot was a celebration of timelessness and of love that breaks all boundaries of time, space, and tradition.

315 Press created a stunning insight into the day with a beautiful invitation in delicate muted earthy tones.

Our Brides gorgeous gown was from Katya Katya, with shoes by Harriet Wilde, jewellery from Wolf & Moon and Kind Jewellery, and a ring from Caroline Brook Jewellery.

Her exquisite natural make up look was created by  Make-up in Orangeries.

It was a true joy to partner with Liz from Flower and Fern to design this concept, and she took our breath away with her delicate florals.

She chose seasonal blooms grown on British flower farms, some from a nearby prairie garden, and some from her own cutting garden, as well as English garden roses to link back to the country house setting.

Ingredients such as cosmos, scabiosa and grasses were selected for their softness and the way they dance across the top of the arrangements and bridal bouquet.

Inspired by meadow-like prairie style planting, which encourages flowers to self-seed and grow together, varieties and colours were grouped throughout the designs for a naturalistic effect.

The colours reflect what was growing in the prairie garden at that time, further enhancing the affinity with nature.

For the minimalist yet impactful tablescape there was furniture rentals by Rustic Hire with beautiful linens and coverings: The Natural Dye Works alongside crockery by Elvis Robertson Ceramics, and the amazing floral arrangements.

To bring the look of the day to its stylish conclusion two fabulous cakes with sleek lines and floral adornment were designed and created by Avant Garde Cake Studio.

The film captures by John at Holes in The World are romantic, full of genuine emotion, and beautifully soft – much like the whispered vows of our runaway bride and groom.
