Bold colour block wedding inspiration with an edge of Citrus & Summer

Today I am excited to share to share some incredible bold colour block wedding inspiration with an edge of citrus and summer.

Images were captured by Peterson Design & Photo at Forme Los Angeles.

The concept for the shoot was created by Naomi at Bowties & Bouquets who wanted to play with colour in a modern yet fanciful way by creating a colour block wedding theme bringing joy with an added air of visual art.

The aim was to give bold colour inspiration to couples,  and to encourage them to be brave in their palette choices.

Life has been all shades of grey in the last year, and we have all had to endure some dark periods.

When we look at bright colour it can heighten our mood, inspire us and lift into the light.

Every aspect of the shoot had vibrant bold colour and zingy citrus, with a look forward to summer in mind.

The colour block effect was evident in the table design as well as the ceremony backdrop, and all elements of the styling.

The bold shapes of on the day stationery suite by Lortz Lettering and the Invitation by Margo and Bees gives us a glorious insight into the day.

The Bride wore a sleek sheath dress by Maggie Sottero in a classic and simplistic design, accessorised by a gorgeous yellow cushion diamond ring from Brilliant Earth, and complimented by her Groom in a stylish Stitch and Tie suit from Friartux.

Urban Marigold provided strikingly colourful florals for the styling and  tablescape while Winston & Main created the stunning bouquet.

The eye catching colour blocking streamer display was from Papermart but would be a fabulous DIY project for the crafty couple making their own.

The table incorporated full on citrus details with  a different fruit slice at each place, and the catering with tapas, desserts and cocktails carried on the summery element.

To bring the styling to a close there was a magnificent 3 tier colour swatch cake from Half Baked Co bringing together art, colour and character together in a scrumptious package.

Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky was a Russian painter and art theorist who once said “Colour is a power which directly influences the soul.” and I fully agree.

While whatever colour palette you choose for your Wedding is perfect for you, bold tones and their association with joy, happiness, energy and positivity is enlightening, and wonderful inspiration for something just a little extraordinary.
