Cathryn says of the shoot…

Recently I was stylist and planner on a incredible luxe wedding inspiration styled shoot at the Old Palace in Chester.

The Old Palace is a converted exclusive use luxe wedding venue in the city walls of Chester and it used to be the residence of the Bishop.

It sits between the historic walls of Chester and the picturesque river front, and we took advantage of taking pictures on the suspension bridge and band stand beside the waterway.

The wonderful stationery designs of Pink Sherbet brought a beautiful insight into the theming of the day.

In terms of styling of the shoot I kept it to a classical luxury look, with details simple and elegant.

With Chester being a Roman city steeped in history  I wanted to accent with a Romanesque feel and Alannah encapsulated this look in gowns from Pollardi and Mori Lee at Bellissima Brides and shoes from Charlotte Mills Bridal, with our groom in a velvet tux to compliment from Groom Hire.

To accessorise our Bride wore headpieces from both Garter and Veil and Collections by Carol, and Wongs Jewellers provided us with diamonds and rings for the shoot to add extra luxury, and a stunning bouquet from Blooms Floristry.

Our Brides beauty look was created by myself, Made Up by Cathryn, with bridal hair by Carol Ellis Thompson.

In terms of venue dressing we kept it minimal with eucylyptus and greenery, and design by Madisson J Creations .

Suzie from The Cake Pavilion took inspiration from the bow on the dress and recreated this on the cake to tie all the magical details together and complete the look of the day.
