How to ask your Groomsmen to be a part of your Big Day

Today I am excited to share this inspiring styled shoot with some ideas on how to ask your groomsmen to be a part of your big day.

Images were captured by the fabulous Kylie of Just for Love Photography with the collaboration of an incredible creative team.

Kylie says of the shoot…

I’m a strong believer that a groom and his mates are just as important as a bride and her girlfriends – but so often in this world of weddings, they are forgotten all about, left to their own devices while wedding vendors speak directly to the Bride to be!

I think that’s a little wrong… so you can understand why I was on a mission to create some wedding inspiration for the Groom and his crew – in a relaxed setting but with a touch of sophistication.

So we showcased within a styled shoot setting a totally achievable idea for how to ask your groomsmen to be a part of your big day – plus a great excuse to drink whisky & smoke some cigars!

The location  in the backstreets of Brisbane was out of this world, with the street art only adding to the masculine vibe we were aiming for…

Against the gritty backdrop Coco & Confetti created an lavish lounge area with a beautifully presented cigar bar and gorgeous florals, perfectly complimented by the Gathering Events caravan bar serving Australian craft beers and top-shelf whiskies to our lucky gents.

Cigars represent a unique sense of brotherhood and togetherness shared with friends and are the perfect compliment to a gents favourite tipple so this was a great mix.

The whisky bar also featured beautiful vintage crystal decanters supplied by Coco & Confetti and You’re my Type provided labels, signage and stationery. Village Food and Events supplied an amazing hamper too.

The guys were also treated to a customised box of manly treats from Wood & Beau – presenting the perfect opportunity for the groom to ask them to be a part of his wedding day…
