She Walked through the Eternity Gate ~ A Bridal Inspiration Shoot in Shropshire

Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful bridal inspiration shoot, shot against the stunning backdrop and gardens of Dudmaston Hall, Shropshire that evokes the spirit and romance of a romantic novel of yesteryear …

Images were captured by Lucie Brady Photography with creative direction by Gilly Page alongside a team of talented Shropshire creatives.

Immerse yourself in the romance, let the words whisk you away in your imagination…

“She walked through the eternity gate on the way to meet her love … dappled in sunlight under canopies of trees, along secret pathways, beside the lake,to the boathouse, on her way to find a picnic laid out upon the grass, just for two,to await her love, forever in her heart…”

“Bathed in a golden glow, her hair blowing in the breeze, her halo of flowers, feathers and delicate butterflies echoing the flora and fauna around her…”

“The golden threads of the embroidered leaves and flowers of her dress dancing with the sunlight, she is a vision of beauty and love against this backdrop of natures’s wonder…”

Gilly Page, designer maker of bespoke floral heirloom wedding crowns, flower wreaths and keepsake accessories fell in love with Dudmastons beauty and romance and knew it would be the perfect place to showcase her work …

A hopeless romantic, Gilly wanted to tell a story and evoke the romance and mood of yesteryear.

With a pallet of metallic golds and greys, feathers, butterflies and golden fronds of foliage, ribbons and lace reflecting the seasons’ colours and golden light.

Keeping things truly authentic Gilly teamed her floral crown with the most stunning embroidered antique gold wedding gown from a treasure trove of all things vintage, The Looking Glass Bridgnorth.

Bridal hair of beautiful cascading natural waves compliment both the dress and flower crown beautifully with a pallet of soft golden metallics and rosebud lips with a hint of gold provides the perfect make-up to compliment this look, both created by Lizzie Parkin Hair & Make-Up.

Even though the seasons are getting colder the beautiful golden light of this time of year truly brings alive this beautiful combination of metallic hues … whilst the long sleeves of this gown adds elegance and warmth, completing this romantic ethereal, natural look.

A stunningly simple naked cake by It’s made by Leah is the focal point of this enchanting vintage picnic under a canopy of trees, styled with a lovingly curated collection of pieces old, new, borrowed and blue including hand printed stationary by Trish Cameo of Cameo Creative Wedding Stationery echoing the sentiments of a romantic novel of days gone by …

This shoot and the incredible dappled light of this glorious day which brought this love story to life was captured perfectly by Lucie Brady Photography.

All vendors involved in this shoot are small, artisan businesses based in and around Shropshire.
