Spectacular Steampunk wedding inspiration where elegance meets theatrical meets vibrant colour

Today I am excited to share this incredible shoot showcasing spectacular Steampunk wedding inspiration where elegance meets theatrical meets vibrant colour.

Images were captured by Diamond Edge Photography with planning by Wild Daisy Events, and the collaboration of a fabulous collaborative team.

The shoot was held at the North Carolina Transportation Museum, a historic site, once home to Southern Railway’s largest steam locomotive repair facility in the southeast, and a museum featuring all types of transportation history – railroading, automotive, aviation, and more.

The venue paired beautifully with the shoots steampunk concept which had an air of the theatrical juxtaposed with elegance and rich vibrant earthy colour.

Steampunk today can actually be defined in several ways.

When it comes to media and entertainment, it is looked at as a sub-genre of science fiction that uses technology and aesthetic designs inspired by the 19th century.

Steampunk works often take place in alternative history worlds where Steam powered technology is extremely prominent, and this is usually one of the most defining aspects of many Steampunk works.

Steampunk technology often on display are Steam powered cars, airships, and analog computers, and typically the technology and aesthetic shown are nearly as advanced as the technology we have in our modern world but with a distinctly retro look and feel.

Steampunk also refers to an artistic style and clothing fashion that has  a distinctly Victorian feel inspired by late 19th and early 20th century design but also a touch of retro futurism.

This steampunk wedding inspiration shoot created by planner Victoria Stallings encapsulates the beauty of the theme whilst showing how you can push boundaries in theming, and really get to use your imagination in wedding planning.

The shoots vision was to show the true Steampunk style, featuring the machinery and mechanical style along with the Victorian style of our modern times.

The industrial revolution was monumental for technological advancements and is a rich source of alternative wedding inspiration.

Our Bride wears a exquisite couture gown from Lily Rose Bridal, while styling of her flame red hair and stunning make up were applied by Adrian D Howe Makeup Artist.

Gorgeous florals were by Vintage Soul Floral Designs whilst beautiful rentals for the tablescape were supplied by Cooks Rentals, with vintage furniture from Evermore Event Company.

The amazing cake by Cake Expressions by Lisa is spectacular incorporating an array of on theme nuts, bots and wheels to complete the styling.
