Today I am thrilled to share some gorgeous springtime wedding inspiration blending modern romance with beautiful bohemian chic.
Inspired by the sunny yellow walls of the drawing room at Poundon House, this styled shoot provides perfect seasonal ideas. .
Images were captured by Photography by Anna Marie alongside a fabulous creative team.
Poundon House is a charming Edwardian-era country house, set within beautifully landscaped grounds that has been lovingly restored to its original splendour.
This Oxfordshire gem features nine bedrooms, three large reception rooms, a handsome library and an intimate wood-paneled study.
It was built in 1908 by Col. John Heyward Lonsdale when he married a Miss Parker Bowles who lived locally.
It is of historical significance that in 1939 the house was requisitioned for the war by the Foreign and Colonial Office.
It was then used during the second world war to help break the Enigma Code, that was in those days widely considered to be unbreakable.
The drawing room, however, is a gorgeous surprise of bright yellow, which complimented the styling perfectly.
With a distinctly bohemian vibe, natural light, textured greenery and gorgeous florals were used to create a fresh and colourful atmosphere.
To compliment our Groom looks suave in a suit by Clements and Church.
The luxury wedding cakes, cupcakes and cookies were all hand painted in watercolour style and decorated with touches of gold in Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium’s signature baroque style.
Bringing the outdoors in, they were painted with flower motifs and bird and butterfly designs and adorned with exquisite handmade sugar flowers.
