Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous styled shoot at Pythouse in Wiltshire with a theme of Timeless Love.
Through movement and dance the shoot encapsulates a sense of love, passion and keeping it real in the Wedding experience.
Images were captured by Barbara Leatham Photography, with an incredible team of suppliers bringing together the look of the day.
Barbara Leatham tells us a little background to the shoot…
“I met Tara Bradley-Birt, a Bridal Gown designer after being introduced by a mutual friend.”
“I loved her Bridal Gowns and we decided that a styled shoot would be wonderful to allow us to showcase her work”
“It was also an opportunity to meet others in the industry and network, and showcase their work too.”
“Pythouse, a privately owned stately home in Wiltshire was sourced as a venue.”
“They have just been licensed as a venue for civil marriages and civil partnerships.”
“Their beautiful Orangery, or under the archway in the old clock tower stable block is a perfect setting for a romantic and magical wedding ceremony.”
“They offer space for up to 80 people for ceremonies, with the chance for champagne and nibbles afterwards.”
They are just breaking into the Wedding market, so this was a perfect opportunity for them and us as Wedding vendors.
“Tara’s dresses are designed to be light and flowing, to allow the bride to move n her day, as well as looking amazing, which totally fitted in with the theme for the shoot.”
“We got inspired by classic art, renaissance, pre-raphaelite and Impressionism. ”
“The story for the shoot was simple…”
“At times we have all had couples that have become too preoccupied with “the big day” and forget they should be getting married because they have met the partner of their dreams.”
“It’s not about the party, although that is lovely, and it’s not about the dress, or even the photography, getting married should be about love first of all, the rest is just window dressing,”
“When it becomes about all the details of the day, where it turns normally nice people into something they are not, then they should ask themselves why they are getting married.”
“It’s not about keeping up with the Jones’s, it’s about making a commitment to the person they love most in the world.”
“Come rain or shine, whether they can afford the most expensive things or not, it’s about the sharing the rest of their lives together because they have found their soul mate.”
Tara Bradley – Birt explains her involvement…
“This styled shoot epitomises the spirit of Tara Bradley – Birt Bridal; a dreamy paradigm, where every bride is effortlessly chic and delightfully individual.”
“As a brand we feel it’s important that every bride radiates passion and oozes confidence on her wedding day.”
“Brides at Tara Bradley-Birt celebrate a relaxed approach to life; uncompelled by traditional tones, she knows exactly what she wants and embraces it with grace and fervour.”
“Like us, our brides will be visionaries, choosing to bypass the commerciality of getting married and going back to the roots of where it all began; your love.”
“Each gown is lovingly crafted in England, and given unlimited love and attention that ‘she’ deserves.”
“We whole-heartedly believe in freedom of movement, especially on your wedding day.”
“Our gowns create an instant connection between emotion and movement; instinctively evocative, our ultra-light silhouettes will flirt with all senses.”
“We celebrate a relaxed silhouette, designed to make you feel comfortable, while emphasising your body’s best features.”
“This movement in dance was pivotal to the shoot embracing the sensuality of the gowns, and the wearer.”
Hilary of Eliza Jane Flowers explains her involvement…
“We are known for out whimsical designs, full on foliages, carefully chosen and sometimes foraged with herbs and seed heads, with movement being our primary concern.”
“For the purposes of this shoot the floristry was two fold.”
For the ornagery setting we chose pale roses, nude and ivory in colour, grey and silver foliages including mimosa Belejana, silver with dark tips, and in complete contrast the delicate chocolate cosmos, Black Beauty and Cotinus foliage.”
“The backdrop for this set was a mass of delicate foliages to bring depth and romance to the stark Orangery and in tune with the flowers in the hair, and foliages in the bridal bouquet.”
“The whole mood of the design was delicate with a hint of passion, the two lovers embracing and dancing in front of the foliages captured the secrecy and romance of a private delight maybe in a secret glade.”
“For the second set the design was bold, passionate, in keeping with the backdrop of the magnificent set, the gold glow of Florence.”
“The romance and passion was captured by using Darcy Bussell David Austin roses, named after our magnificent dancer.”
“The rich tones of the flower design where we used cappuccino roses, draping bronze amaranthus, the lime green verbena was contrasted by the delicate wisps of Asparagus ferns some of them nearly floor length popular with the 1920’s fashion as Florence depicted.”
“The mood for the flowers was rich, passionate but graceful.”
Ollie Viles, hairstylist explains her involvement…
“The inspiration for the wedding hair I created was easily gathered from the gorgeous 1920’s glamour inspired wedding dresses along with the breath-taking Pythouse surroundings.”
“It was important to create hair that complimented the dress and also the beautiful flower pieces used in the hair.”
“For me it was all about putting a current twist on a classic look, I love taking aspects from timeless, iconic styles and reinventing them with a modern twist.”
“When working creatively with a fantastic team you have to take the opportunity to push the boundaries in terms of hairstyles and try to showcase something trend-cautious outside of your comfort zone which we did.”
From minimalist in tone to rich in colour, passion and sensuality is the overwhelming sense that is felt through the images.
I love the two different looks that show the beauty and versatility of the venue, and the gowns are breathtaking.
The styling of the hair, make-up, accessories and the flowers all pushed each aspect of the shoot, and has made the images come to life to show the incredible talents of the team and that love is truly timeless…
