Vintage Colorado Snow Lodge Wedding Inspiration with a 70s edge

To launch us into the winter and the festive season I am thrilled to share some Vintage Colorado Snow Lodge Wedding Inspiration with a 70s edge.

Images were captured by Mark Blake by the West with planning and styling by Ana Trio Solutions and the collaboration of a fabulous creative team.

Inspired by Slim Aaron’s infamous 1964 photograph, Verbier Vacation, this shoot aimed to blend the Apres-ski culture of the Alps with Colorado’s 60s and 70s ski era in a bridal shoot at a new event venue, Treehaus, just outside of Boulder.

Treehaus is a unique in-the-trees experience for microweddings, elopements and celebratory dinners.

Calligrapher Handsome Love Calligraphy gave a stunning insight into the day with a beautiful stationery suite with a retro font and bright colours.

Our couple channelled distinct looks throughout the Vintage Colorado Snow Lodge Wedding Inspiration shoot.

Whilst the Bride prepared for the day she wore gorgeous getting ready robes from BHLDN, and her glamorous make up is applied by Dulce Diem Hair & Makeup.

For the ceremony there was 70s suede and paisley print, whilst for the Elopement style reception the Bride wears vintage inspired lace gown from Vagabond Bridal at a&be Bridal Shop, with her Groom in print from the era.

For the post reception photoshoot orange and blue ski suits make an appearance.

Props from Hazel Grove Rentals set the scene on this groovy snow-kissed da.

Veuve Clicquot bottles were popped, one-piece ski suits were stepped into, vintage sleds set the stage, along with an Airstream, a daisy bouquet, an altar made from skis, record players, disco balls, and even a sauna, amidst a backdrop that effortlessly blends classic ski memories with bridal couture.

The fabrics, patterns and tones used throughout this styled shoot channelled Colorado’s snow lodge ’70s culture with a nod to high-fashion.

The team worked with florist The Perfect Petal to arrive at a colour palette that repped the 70s in true form: marigolds, mushrooms, daisies and gypsophila that complimented the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

To wrap up the shoot the couple dined on delights from Sugar Mtn Catering from and yummy desserts from  LaLas Bakery.
