Vision of Veracruz ~ Bright and colourful tropical wedding inspiration with pretty Mexican influences

Today I am thrilled to share a Vision of Veracruz.. bright and colourful tropical wedding inspiration with pretty Mexican influences.

Images were captured by Kristen Weaver Photography with planning by An Affair to Remember Weddings and the collaboration of a fabulous creative team.

Our ‘Vision of Veracruz’ shoot was inspired by the sun and bright colours of Mexico!

Summer in Florida has us longing for the breezy vibe of the Mexican beaches, and our shoot wanted to pay homage to the bold colours, laid back vibe and delicious food of our friends South of the border!

The setting was The Acre Orlando, a one-acre urban sanctuary and gathering space located in Orlando, Florida’s historic College Park neighborhood, and a hidden gem complete with rustic charm and wild landscape perfect for any celebration.

From Cactus theme cookies to rich floral design – we wanted to incorporate some vibrant colours to the day.

To give an insight into the styling of the day Emily Grace Design designed a pretty stationery suite.

Our bride Taylor wore a stunning gown from The Bridal Finery with colorful earrings from ASOS as a way to change up her look throughout the event, and our groom Pedro wore a banana yellow skinny suit, also from ASOS to compliment the theme of the shoot.

We wanted to show that your wedding day attire can take a less traditional approach while still fitting your own personality!

The bride’s hair and makeup had a bit of a mod 60’s vibe with a Frida Khalo inspired headpiece of real flowers created by Beaute Speciale.

The photo booth backdrop and ceremony arch decor was hand-made by our floral designer, Jesus of Raining Roses and was made from specialty crepe paper flown in from Mexico, and these went alongside the incredible florals beautifully!

To provide a laid back air to the shoot we wanted to highlight a lounge area as we’re seeing more couples go for a relaxed lounge area at their receptions. The team from The Reserve Vintage Rentals styled this incredible space.

Emily from Treasury Rentals brought gorgeous vintage table settings in mixed metals and glassware in greens and browns to accent the tables with wood plates and rose-gold geometric chargers, and striped napkins.

To compliment the tablescape Tricia Sechrist Design created gorgeous hand-written Bride and Groom banners for the sweetheart table. And we used giant “Peacock Chairs” with a table full of floral!

Arthur’s Catering came along to showcase their Avocado Bar  where when set up during cocktail hour or reception, guests are treated to fresh avocado adding all their favorite toppings

Lastly, Nicole from Florida Sweets & Co. brought the most incredible collection of sweets! Starting with a Cinnamon swirl and caramel naked-cake with edible flowers, and churro cupcakes and cactus cookies. real food that guests would love!
