Today I am thrilled to spotlight on The Little Blue Brush, a London based Wedding stationery designer who creates beautiful romantic, whimsical designs through the use of watercolour and ink.
I hand over to Fiona Fraher to tell you all about her blossoming Business…
Who are you, and what do you do?
“I’m Fiona, the creative behind The Little Blue Brush, a stationery design business.”
“Here in my London studio, I like to create beautiful original designs using watercolours and inks.”
When and why did you start your Company?
“My company started in 2015, on a part time basis, mainly doing jobs for friends and family, as I was still working as an art teacher.”
“However after having my son a year ago, I made the decision to make my dream job become a reality!”
What inspires you?
“My background is in Fine Art, and my love of painting, particularly with watercolours and the unique visuals it produces, is definitely the driving force behind my work.”
“When choosing colours and designs, I look a lot to nature for inspiration, beautiful flowers, colours that naturally appear together for example a dreamy blue sky against a stunning coral sunset…”
Do trends influence your work?
“Yes and no! I think of my work as quite distinctive, and I love to experiment, and paint intuitively.”
“However I am a massive Instagram fan, and adore looking at styled wedding photo shoots, and checking out what other creatives are doing.”
“I think it is very important to always keep in mind current trends as it is what brides will generally gravitate towards when planning their dream wedding.”
“Sometimes I will use a stunning on- trend floral arrangement as inspiration and put my own twist on it! !”
What do you see as the future of your Company?
“To continue to make beautiful wedding stationery, as it is always a privilege to play a small part in making a couples dream wedding become a reality.”
“To perhaps use my background in education to start online DIY wedding stationery tutorials!!”
Aren’t they just lovely….
Thank you so much to Fiona for sharing her beautiful designs on the Blog.
I love how each invitation is like the couples own individual watercolour painting, and each one sent is like the gift of art to the guests, just amazing.
