Today I am thrilled to introduce British brand Merle and Morris and their capsule collection of luxury bridal footwear.
Synonymous with elegant, graceful design, the label blends contemporary materials with understated vintage glamour.
I had a wee chat with owner Hazel to find out all about this enterprising new brand,
“We started the business earlier this year.”
“I am getting married in December and have found it difficult to find bridal shoes, and my business partner had the same issue a few years ago when she got married!”
“We are a shoe buyer and shoe designer collaborative team and are passionate about shoes!”
“Weddings these days are a lot more quirky and personal than ever before and people are being much more experimental.”
“There see so many beautiful and different wedding dresses out there, and we felt that the modern bride should have the same choice when it comes to shoes!”
Neither of us wanted to wear impractical white or ivory satin so we reasoned other brides must feel the same!”
“As we worked in shoes already we knew the variety of amazing materials available out there and were desperate to use them. Leathers, dusted metallics, irridescent snakes, and shimmering opalescent!”
“As well as being able to wear again and again our shoes are different as they have hidden memory foam padding and supple leather linings, so are amazingly comfortable and can easily be worn all day long!”
“This is so important for brides, as no bride wants to end up dancing barefoot!”
“We like to think our range ‘melds the elegance of a bygone era with a unique take on contemporary design’.”
“It definitely has a vintage feel to it but we have scoured the markets to use the most original and contemporary materials so we truly are offering brides something unique and fashion forward to wear on the most important day of her life.”
“Each shoe is hand crafted with unfaltering attention to detail, ensuring a high quality, comfortable finish, and comes gift wrapped in a beautiful box.”
The Spring/Summer 2014 collection incorporates luxurious leathers with alluring design.
Encapsulated by dusty metallics; captivating nudes and shimmering stones, this collection promises to be as unique as the woman wearing it.
The Collection launches online on 28th October.
Thanks to the ladies for sharing their gorgeous Brand with Blog readers, I think I am in love with the “Ginger” shoe..so stylish and wee bit sassy !
I also really like, and I know my feet would appreciate the memory foam linings of the Merle and Morris shoes.
A Wedding day is long and taxing on tootsies and to have that extra comfort throughout your celebration is a huge bonus.
