Nicki MacFarlane is renowned for creating unique, exquisite outfits to suit every Occasion and her latest collection of flower girl dress designs is no exception.
Its so lovely on a Wedding Day to see the wee ones flouncing about in their beautiful gowns, and its an always guarenteed Awwww in the church or ceremony venue when they skip down the aisle scattering petals.
With exciting new textural fabrics, a stunning new colour palette, with a dress to suit all types of Weddings, the 2013/2014 collection is one of Nicki’s most diverse yet and I think they are gorgeous.
I even featured the Mirabelle and Claudia dresses in last weeks beautiful red Tunnocks Moodboard.
I loved finding out a little more about the Collection.
A Touch of Class
This seasons bridal fashion for texture-rich fabrics is reflected in the latest collection.
Nicki’s use of embroidered floral tulle, embellished organza’s, devore velvet, and vintage lace sets her apart from the competition and creates a truly unique fashion forward, yet classic range of dresses.
Daisy is created using a stunning daisy embroidered organza – perfect for a country wedding.

Shades of Summer
Taking her inspiration from the beauty of Summer Weddings, as well as the catwalk, Nicki’s latest colour palette includes nudal tones, tasteful sorbets, including Lackspur blue.
Also navy and rich mulberry such as the Gabriella dress.
With a choice of thirty coloured silks, there is a shade to suit every style and taste.

Party Time
For the first time Nicki has introduced party dresses to the Cygnet Collection.
Made to the same exacting standards as her classic ocasion wear, the dresses ( such as Amy and Dolly) are mad in soft neutral tones with the added glamour of tiny gold sequins, ruffled organza and bows!
Surely every little girls dream party dress!

All in the Detail
The 2013 Collection is dripping with detail – many inspired by the Catwalk.
From beaded peter pan collars and ruffled details shoulder to the pearl embossed belt (pictured below)
Nicki has successfully merged a variety of finishes to give dresses a unique, modern edge to each Flower Girl Dress.
In interpreting Catwalk trends, such as 1950s inspired silhouettes, Nicki has ensured that her designs will appeal to all ages.

The Ready to Wear Collection is available in many of the best independant Bridal boutiques, and department stores such as Harrods, London and Bergdorf Goodman, New York.
Nicki also offers a Bespoke service of Brides who want a completely individual look for their Bridal party.
Thank you so much to Nicki for sharing these beautiful designs.
I think it really makes a Wedding when children are involved, their little character quirks and their innocent smiles, and just how stylish will they look.
