Today I am thrilled to welcome Kent Wedding Photographer Andy Stonier of Howling Basset Wedding Photography as a brand new Blog Sponsor.
Andy captures beautiful, elegant and natural wedding images in Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex and the South East.
I hand over to Andy to tell you all about his incredible work…
Who are you, and what do you do?
“Hello, I am Andy Stonier and I run Howling Basset Wedding Photography, a busy and thriving wedding photography company in Kent.”
“I have been a full-time professional photographer since 1988 (I did start pretty young).”
“I’ve shot nearly 1,000 weddings now and started in the film days shooting for National and Kodak Weddings.”
“I’ve worked all over the world and in variety of roles: in studios in New York, freelancing for the ‘The News of the World’ and ‘The Sun’ newspapers, as official photographer for the Duke of Edinburgh’s 70th Birthday at Windsor Castle, and as a ship photographer on-board the QE2.”
“I’ve photographed many celebrities over the years, from Nicole Scherzinger to Geri Halliwell: The Reverend Jesse Jackson to Ernie Wise.”
When and why did you start your Company?
“I started Howling Basset back in 2004 and in those 11 years I’ve become one of Kent’s leading wedding photographers, covering many different religious and civil ceremonies and civil partnerships.”
“This level of wedding experience means I’m calm, professional and unobtrusive, helping me to best capture the full story on your biggest day.”
What inspires you?
“The constant learning process that is this job.”
Do trends influence your work?
“Slightly, I do follow trends but only take what I like from them. A lot of the current work out there is trend driven and just won’t stand the test of time.”
“I would describe my style as not traditional, not cutting edge, just beautiful, simple and elegant photography.”
“Timeless, but with individuality and style. I’ll capture your special day with a stylish blend of classic & candid wedding photography.”
“Combining classic wedding photography with more natural portraits and candid shots, I create beautiful images that are full of character and style, whilst capturing all those special little moments as they unfold.”
What is your greatest achievement?
“Professionally, being a full-time photographer since 1988. Its a tough business but my photography has stood the test of time.”
What do you see as the future of your Company?
“To offer the best photography and service possible, to keep my clients as happy as ever and to continue to learn my craft.”
Thank you so much to Andy for his support of the Blog, and I hope to be sharing his amazing images with you very soon…
