Love is…The Gift of Artistry – The Sculpture Gift List

Today I am thrilled to feature the The Sculpture Gift List, where the gift of artistry is something a wee bit different in a world of toasters and towels.

The Sculpture Gift List is a unique gift registry that enables your friends and family to contribute towards a distinctive and original wedding keepsake.

With more than 2000 works from 250 renowned 20th Century and contemporary sculptors among our collection, there is a sculpture to suit every purse and taste.

For couples with an established home, The Sculpture Gift List is the perfect alternative to a traditional wedding list; and for loved ones wishing to honour a landmark celebration, it is a simple way to organise an unforgettable group gift.

It was lovely to have a wee chat to Sian Gray to find out more about her blossoming Business,

Who are you and what do you do?

With a career background and passion for planning weddings, as well as a desire to work alongside my inspirational father, Eddie Powell who is the curator of the Sculpture Park, I came up with the new and unique idea of The Sculpture Gift List.

The company combines my father’s extensive knowledge of Sculpture and The Sculpture Park’s collection with my own experience of working on weddings and events as well as online administration.

I love nothing better than getting to know a couple and helping them create the wedding of their dreams.

The Sculpture Gift List allows couples to discover a work of art that will stay with them long after the day has passed, as a lasting keepsake.

Why and when did you start the Sculpture Gift List?

We have had many visitors to the Sculpture Park who have themselves put together a collection fund for a wedding or occasion gift, then come to us to ask what they can buy from The Sculpture Park.

We also have a lot of comments on how our visitors would love to own sculpture, but do not have the means to purchase it.

With The Sculpture Gift List, we have an online donation fund ready setup so each customer receives their own unique web account for guests to contribute towards their chosen sculpture. It is an easy process for the client and a service that we have seen is in demand.

As well as sculpture, we also offer bespoke Interior Design and furnishing for our gift lists, all supplied by www.miscellanea.co.uk – a unique and amazing shop that needs to be seen to be believed!

The Sculpture Gift List was only launched in July 2013 so is very much in its infancy years.

What inspires you?

My family are my inspiration. I live and work alongside them and am always surprised by the motivation, drive and dedication they all possess.

What is your greatest achievement ?

From a Business point of view its too early to tell but without doubt my greatest achievement is my son, Jarvis.

What do you see as the future of your company?

We would love to become a recognised as a top option of gift list.

So far there is the traditional gift list as provided by high street brands, Charity donations and Honeymoon funds.

We would love Sculpture to become a sought-after wedding and occasion gift list.

Thanks so much to Sian for sharing her work with us today.

A Sculpture is certainly something unique and timeless and a gift that can be treasured for a lifetime, and beyond when passed down to future generations.
