On my recent trip down south I had the very great pleasure to visit a fantastic London Wedding Venue, The Millennium Hotel London Mayfair.
Sitting opposite beautiful green space but bang in the centre of the capital its a beautiful place to say “I do.”
The Millennium Hotel London Mayfair is an impressive 18th century London mansion, which was built as a stately townhouse.
Overlooking Grosvenor Square Gardens and situated in the heart of fashionable Mayfair, this hotel combines traditional charm and luxury with an outstanding location.
The hotel has retained many of its original features, with its Georgian façade and classic Doric columns.
It offers guests superb customer service, as well as a selection of fantastic facilities and an award-winning and a hugely popular Italian restaurant, Avista.
Guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautiful Grosvenor Square Gardens, browse the boutiques of Bond Street and the fashionable stores of Regent Street, walk through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, or attend a theatre performance in the West End.
The Houses of Parliament and London’s financial district are also within easy reach of the hotel.
I was there to see the hotel in its capacity as a Wedding and Events venue.
The Millennium Hotel London Mayfair has 10 dedicated function rooms, catering for up to 700 guests.
The grand Ballroom Suite is most popular for large scale Weddings and Events catering to 500 guests.
It is decorated in an English country style, offering elegant private meeting and dining areas, with new technology.
Impressive chandeliers and detailed cornices discreetly hide the modern lighting and sound equipment.
A separate hotel entrance leads through to the marble ballroom foyer and directly into the ballroom.
The tall wooden doors, panelled walls and ornate wall lights complete the classic style of this room.
The oak-panelled Grosvenor Suite is one of the Millenium Hotel Mayfair’s finest suites.
The intimate suite benefits from a private lounge and ensuite facilities, so it’s the perfect setting for executive meetings or dinners, and can cater for up to 18 guests.
Other Event spaces include:
The Waterloo Room is ideal for social and business events alike, whether you are planning a small dinner dance for 40, or a luxurious reception for 80.
The Manhattan Suite is well equipped to cater for a small dinner dance of 40, or a luxurious reception for 100.
The Kendal Room is perfect for a special intimate gathering and can seat up to 25 guests for a reception.
The Mayfair Suite is one of the Millennium Hotel Mayfair’s largest and most comfortable suites, and is ideal for dinner dances and banquets for up to 60 – 70.
For the Bride and Groom and guests staying over the hotel boasts some fantastic accommodation.
From viewing both standard and studio accommodation myself, these rooms are very spacious, and more than ample in size for the frenzied wedding morning
Most rooms overlook the beautiful Grosvenor Square Gardens.
Rivalled by few other hotels in Mayfair, the Standard Rooms at the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair are quintessentially English in style, with rich wood furnishings and high ceilings.
The Studio Suite is elegant and extremely spacious, with a large bed and a seating area with a sofa bed, and this is the room normally reserved for the Bride getting ready and the Wedding Night.
Quintessentially English in style, with rich wood furnishings and high ceilings, the Studio Suite offers guests superb amenities and a superior level of comfort.
Guests staying in the Studio Suite can enjoy access to the exclusive Club Lounge, which is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and has a member of staff available to provide a personalised service, including refreshments, Continental breakfast, drinks and snacks, international newspapers and magazines, and local maps and information.
All in all, the history, comfort and grandeur of the hotel make it well placed and a wonderful choice for your London Wedding Venue.
