I am equally excited to share a new infographic to give a bit more information on the venue.
Previously I have shared an insight on The Tower, another wee gem from the Hotel Group after my visit there in January.
The property was owned by the National Liberal Club up until 1985 and the organisation still occupies part of the building.
Due to its Whitehall location and short walk from the Houses of Parliament, the hotel and One Whitehall Place was regularly frequented by former MPs and Prime Ministers including Sir Winston Churchill and William Gladstone, who laid the original foundation stone in the cellar in 1884.
It is also home to the largest free standing marble staircase of its kind in Europe and is a popular location for weddings.
One Whitehall Place has 13 spaces available for private hire, including the impressive Gladstone Library, the Whitehall Suite and Churchill’s Bar.
More information about all available Event spaces and their capacities can be seen HERE
To follow on this is a really quite interesting Infographic that the Hotel has created and developed in celebration of their new Website.
Guests attending weddings at one of London’s top venues get through enough champagne to fill over 14 bathtubs.
They can also eat enough canapés to feed 90 double decker buses full of people each month, whilst the amount of ribbon used is the equivalent of 321,000 times the height of Buckingham Palace, according to new statistics.
“We’ve had a lot of fun with this project, working out things like how many tea bags we get through a month and how many hours are spent polishing silverware – and the statistics are unbelievable.”
“More than anything else, this project has highlighted the hard work and dedication of our events team who put their all into delivering outstanding events, conferences and weddings for our clients.”
What a beautiful place to hold an Event and right in the centre of London.
I hope to visit to see its grandeur for myself and take in some Afternoon Tea this coming New Year.
