I love to explore new places, and I especially love staying somewhere really nice and my recent trip to London and stay at the Guoman Tower Hotel was very pleasant indeed.
Overlooking the River Thames and the city’s most iconic landmark, Tower Bridge, The Tower Hotel is practically the best address in town.
Located near London Bridge and located next door to two World Heritage Sites – Tower Bridge and The Tower of London it has possibly one of the best views there is.
This is doubly perfect when it also takes in St Katharine Docks and the stunning London skyline.
I had the privilige of staying at the hotel for the recent Wedding Ideas Awards and I was very hesitant to leave.
The service is impeccable, the rooms fabulous and and the view from my room literally made me squeal.
I was lucky enough to have a wee tour round prior to the Awards to see the facilities that the hotel offer’s for Weddings and Events.
They have a wonderful selection of function rooms, all of which are air- conditioned, licensed for civil ceremonies and can be set up exactly as you want them.
The largest are the Tower and Bridge Suites which can each accommodate parties of up to 500 guests.
Located on the ground floor, they overlook the River Thames and Tower Bridge, giving you the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos.
The Tower Suite at The Tower hotel, London offers a truly unique setting for your wedding. Its own private entrance at the front of the hotel gives your big day a real sense of occasion from the moment you arrive.
Once inside, you have uninterrupted views over the River Thames and Tower Bridge to provide a magnificent backdrop to your celebrations.
The Tower Suite is available as a single room, with space for up to 600 guests: it can also be divided into three smaller rooms, separated by soundproof walls, if your guest-list isn’t quite that long.
Its a large blank canvas for your Event with lots of flexibility.
The Bridge Suite as I witnessed at the awards is brilliant for a drinks reception and your guests will be thrilled with the unrivalled Thameside view that the suite provides.
Its a long, light and airy room that is a blank canvas for any theme you wish to employ.
Popular with those attending the various event venues near Tower Bridge – ExCel and the O2 Arena, for example – the Xi Bar & Lounge at The Tower hotel is an ideal place to relax during the day, or gear up for a night out.
With the stunning backdrop of Tower Bridge and the River Thames, this is one of London’s favourite places to see, and be seen.
With a capacity of 80, its also great for an intimate drinks reception or smaller party.
Alternatively there are two restaurants, the Gallery Restaurant which can host up to 130 guests.
It has the most gorgeous golden chandeliers and a warm and cosy atmosphere and faces the very pretty St Katherines Dock, perfect for a smaller Wedding or a family party.
The upper level of the restaurant would be the perfect area for musicians and for dancing.
The Brasserie is the hotel’s flagship restaurant, with a fascinating menu reflecting the diverse culinary and cultural influences of their head chef and his international brigade de cuisine.
With its relaxed atmosphere and informal dress code, The Brasserie is the ideal choice for any event and can host up to 120 guests.
The Hotel also have 15 further meeting and event rooms on the top floor, suitable for board and team meetings, training sessions, presentations, interviews and private dining.
And when it comes to laying down your weary head, the hotel has it covered.
In keeping with the rest of the Guoman collection of 4 and 5-star London hotels, the Tower Hotel’s bedrooms are designed to reflect the building’s individual architecture, style and character.
Every room at The Tower Hotel is non-smoking, air-conditioned and has BT WiFi internet access.
I can also testify to the fact that they have very comfy beds.
I would heartily recommend the Hotel to stylish London couples looking for some incredible options for their London Big Day in a wonderful location.
The central location of the hotel to rail and tube links makes it perfectly placed for exploring all of Londons exciting landmarks, shops and culture too.
I look forward to hopefully staying at the Hotel again sometime in the future.
