Today I am thrilled to spotlight on the Glynhill Hotel, a Wedding Venue in the Historic Borough of Renfrew, near Glasgow.
Originally a stately home, over the last 46 years the hotel has expanded and been transformed into one of the regions most thriving Hotels.
The Glynhill Hotel is a four star hotel which offers 145 elegantly appointed bedrooms, state of the art conference and banqueting facilities, a range of restaurants and bars and a luxurious leisure club.
The privately owned Hotel is located just five minutes from Glasgow Airport, and with the M8 only 200 yards away, destinations such as Glasgow City Centre, The SSE Hydro, shopping and tourist destinations such as Loch Lomond are within easy reach.
I visited the hotel to take a look at their upgraded facilities and the hotel has been given a beautiful breath of fresh air.
From the moment you walk in the front door, its a warm and welcoming space.
In particular I was interested to see the Wedding facilities in this lovely city hotel.
The Hotel has a variety of reception rooms, capable of holding weddings of any size up to 400.
The Mackintosh and Moray rooms are perfect for small, intimate weddings.
Each room is located on the first floor of the hotel, all of which are ideal for business meetings up to 25 boardroom style or informal events for 40 guests.
The Barony Suites are ideal for the larger wedding for up to 400 guests.
The ground floor Barony Suites (namely Barony one, and Barony two) have recently been transformed with new furnishings and colour scheme, with a modern colour changing light system creating and added elegance to a Wedding reception.
Also adjoining the Le Gourmet restaurant, the Glyn and Alcove suites can cater for smaller wedding receptions up to 70 guests.
These are self contained with a dancefloor and cocktail bar, available for private use.
The Hotel also has two large pre-reception lounges where guests can congregate and relax whilst not in the Barony Suite.
Outside the Barony Suite lies the Glynhill garden, a small but pretty space and within the hotel the Grand Manor staircase with its stunning dark wood providing the perfect backdrop for photographs should you not wish to go further afield.
The stylish new Champagne Terraces provide flexible external space along the Barony Suite frontage as well as adding finesse to the Barony Suite entrances.
This is the ideal setting to enjoy a glass of champagne and canapés following the wedding ceremony, and it really is a lovely space.
This space can also be alternatively used for Outdoor Wedding ceremonies.
The Hotel offers luxurious, contemporary club-concept bedroom accommodation from boutique, to executive and family rooms.
All rooms are available at special reduced rates for guests attending a wedding reception.
The hotel also provides lovely leisure facilities and you can relax by having a swim in the indoor heated pool, work off any stresses in the well equipped gym, or take it easy in the steam room, sauna or hydro therapy showers.
Recent refurbishment of the Barony Suite and reception lounges highlights the hotels commitment to continually upgrade and improve all aspects of the hotel and it merges traditional with modern effortlessly.
It had been some years since I had previously visited the hotel and I was very impressed with the chic uplift that it has had.
Coupled with its fabulous location for transport links the Glynhill Hotel is a wonderful choice for a Wedding Venue.
The Hotel offers a variety of Wedding Packages to suit your budget.
