If you are a Star Wars fan (or your other half is!) then you might want to pop some quirky touches into your Wedding Day to reflect your love of the force!
Whether you go full on themed, or something a bit more subtle, its super easy to do!
I’ve invited Linzi Barford on behalf of The Unconventional Wedding Festival to share her top 5 tips on theming your day.
Set the scene with your wedding stationery
Your wedding stationery is super important for giving your wedding guests an idea for what’s to come.
So, from the day your Save the Dates go in the post grab your lightsaber.
Get your favourite Star Wars character to come along to your wedding day
Everyone needs a Storm Trooper on their wedding day, don’t they? But how about Darth Vader and Chewbacca too?
Whether your friends pop on the outfits or you hire in some actors for the day, it’s a great way to set the scene and have some fun.
You only need them for a few hours to make an impact. Your guests will enjoy having their photos with them too and if you’re having children at your weddings it’s a bound to be a hit!
Incorporate the film into your wedding photos
You can get some fabulous wedding photos with this theme.
Think about having a mock lightsaber fight (do this in the dark too for maximum effect), strike a pose with your favourite character or ask your photographer to photoshop in the Millennium Falcon flying overhead, AT80’s or Thai fighters
As you exit your wedding ceremony have the path lined by lightsabers and Storm Troopers. Anything is possible!
Pop some Star War touches into your wedding day
If you don’t want a full-on Star Wars themed wedding day, you can incorporate little touches into your wedding accessories.
Ditch the floral button holes and go for a Star Wars inspired one instead – we LOVE the incorporation of small Lego characters.
Or grab yourself a Star Wars themed alternative wedding bouquet – you can even get a Lightsaber handle!
Think about cake toppers, a double-sided wedding cake or, for the true super fan, your wedding ring!
Having a Star Wars wedding theme is loads of fun! So, go out there and feel the force!
If you are thinking of hosting a themed wedding why not book your tickets to the forthcoming The Unconventional Wedding Festival, which is being held at Stanford Hall, near Lutterworth, Leicestershire on the 11-12th May 2019 to get lots of ideas and inspiration.
Pop and see some Star Wars wedding inspiration in our Sci Fi zone at the Festival.
