“Baby, Its Cold Outside!” – A Fun Snowy Couples Shoot

Love is such a beautiful thing, and taking on the world and all its adventures as a couple is so exciting, so today I want to share a fun, snowy Couples Shoot that celebrates that bond.

On a freezing cold January day Katie Byram met Amanda and Beth  for a Couples Shoot at Jesmond Dene House which is situated within the lovely grounds of Jesmond Dene, Newcastle.

It was extremely snowy and the flurries were on and off.  Now usually, when Katie goes to shoots, she tries to dress practically but smartly… this time it was just practical.

She had to wear walking boots, about 5 layers of thermals and her bright pink waterproof coat.

Added with her Photography kit and the umbrellas and the snow, it was a challenge!

Amanda & Beth wanted to capture some relaxed photographs of them together,  showing their personalities and just having a fun afternoon out in the snow.

Katie says “We went into Jesmond Dene for the girl’s Couples Shoot and first off went for the waterfall.”

“It’s a place I’ve photographed a Bride & Groom for their Wedding, but it looked completely different in the snow…a snowy wonderland…”

The Couples Love story started when they met in a bar in Sunderland.

They both don’t normally go for a night out in Sunderland but had been persuaded by friends to go to a club night.

After seeing each other across the dancefloor they got chatting and have been together pretty much ever since!

They enjoy “being outdoors together, surfing, sunsets, travel, going to the beach, being outdoors having picnics in pretty places and being silly”

Katie says “We don’t get a whole lot of snow here that often (2-3 times a year for a few days) so  we grabbed the opportunity when it arose to capture the Couples Shoot on a fantastic snowy day.”

“Amanda and Beth really enjoyed the shoot, walking around the park, throwing snow at each other and generally having a romantic afternoon!”

Thanks to Katie for sharing this beautiful shoot which just captures passion and emotion so well.

It also proves that it may be freezing outside but where there is love you always have a safe warm haven.
